Combo Plans
Combo, or Combination, Plans are for sponsors who wish to benefit their employees with greater contributions that can be obtained by a Defined Benefit Plan or Defined Contribution Plan alone.

A typical Combo Plan utilizes the Defined Benefit or Cash Balance Plan as a minimum benefit "floor", allows participants to make 401(k) salary deferrals to add to their benefit, and then enhance the Plan in very profitable years through additional profit sharing contributions.
